Thundridge and Wadesmill

This week, we’re exploring a beautiful circular walk through the parish of Thundridge. Enjoy mostly clear paths and tracks as you wander through three charming hamlets: Thundridge, Wadesmill, and High Cross.

The first half of the walk follows the stunning Youngsbury Estate, a listed park and garden full of scenic views. Along the way, you’ll pass three churches, including the historic tower of old Thundridge church. The route also links up with parts of the Hertfordshire Way and Harcamlow Way, and takes you alongside the peaceful River Rib. Refreshment options depending on what you fancy are Ermine’s Café and Store, the Feathers Inn and Maltons restaurant. The walk is 4.6 miles (7kms) and is shared from the Hundred Parishes website where full details can be downloaded.
